On Thursday evening we scheduled maintenance to update our DNS server. This was a standard update which normally only takes around 5 minutes. However without going into too much detail there was a problem with the update which we could not have been foreseen due to an unreported bug. This unfortunately resulted in us having to format our DNS server.

Our network runs a cluster DNS which means that if one server goes down the other one takes over, therefore none of our customers websites were affected or received any downtime.

However this did affect our own website which was down for a period of roughly 12 hours during the system re-build.

This has now been resolved and all server's are 100% operational and we apologise for any disruption this may have been caused whilst trying to access our website.
